Subject: Concerns Regarding Memorandum

Dear Camilla,

I hope you are keeping well.

I have just read the memorandum circulated today and I have quite a few concerns which I hope you do not mind me raising.

My first concern is regarding the cost of creating this new PPE product line. Although the costs concerning raw materials may be low, I do not think we have the appropriate capital goods to kick off the manufacturing. For example, I think we would need to buy some new machinery or get some additional warehouse space. On a related note, if we manufacture the PPE ourselves, we would also need to hire more labour which would be quite costly.

My second worry is that consumers may not be the best people to sell the PPE to. I know that people are health conscious, but I feel like people are more likely to wear masks and other PPE when their workplace provides them.

Finally, I am slightly anxious about the price of the proposed ‘performance’ line. From my perspective, I would be quite worried about the price bracket this moves our products into; at this price point, we are competing against major high street brands.

I know that all of this just raises more problems and does not forward any solutions, but I am hoping that the external consultants mentioned in the memorandum can come up with some ideas!

Please do not hesitate to reach out if you would like to chat about any of these points further.

Kind regards,

Jenny
