Dangerous Dogs Act - Question
Brent councillor, Mr Kane, has approached you because residents are complaining that pit bulls have been running loose in Queens Park and causing damage to both park property and the personal belongings of residents using the park. Luckily, there have been no personal injuries to date. Mr. Kane has been pushing for the dog owners to be prosecuted under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991, but has been informed by the police that this is not possible in these circumstances.
With this in mind, please can you prepare the following, using only the below provisions of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991:
1. A letter to Mr. Kane explaining whether the view of the police is correct
2. A letter to the Government explaining the issue and recommending any appropriate amendments to the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991
(1 hour in total, max 500 words for each letter)
