  • Globe Trade Centre: The firm advised the Globe Trade Centre on the acquisition of a real estate portfolio comprising 5,200 residential units in Germany. 
  • EDF Renewables: Dentons advised EDF Renewables (EDFR) and Korea Western Power Company (Kowepo) on the successful financial close of the Al Ajban Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Independent Power Project in Abu Dhabi.

Training contract

Denton offers a four-seat training contract, with each seat lasting six months. The training contract also includes three modules (legal project management, innovation, and resilience) as part of a modernised training programme. More generally, the training programme encourages trainees to apply their newly gained knowledge from the very start of their careers.

Secondments

Dentons offers its trainees the opportunity to apply for a secondment to one of the firm’s international offices, with trainees frequently travelling to the Middle East, North America, and Australia. Corporate social responsibility

Dentons employees are “engaged in a wide variety of pro bono legal matters”, providing their assistance and skills to those in need. Some examples of the firm’s pro bono commitments include:

  • Greece Pro Bono Collaborative: The firm collaborated with five other firms and European Lawyers in Lesvos to form the Greece Pro Bono Collaborative, a project designed to help address the current access to justice crisis for asylum seekers in Greece. 
  • Glasgow Building Preservation Trust: Dentons provided pro bono advice which enabled the Glasgow Building Preservation Trust to restore the West Boathouse in Glasgow Green, a project valued at £3.05 million. 
  • The Children’s Air Ambulance: The firm helped the charity negotiate and document the design and lease contracts for new aircraft and medical interiors to ensure that the charity can serve nine NHS paediatric and neonatal Specialist Transport Teams across the UK. 

Diversity and inclusion

Dentons regards inclusion and diversity as more than “just ancillary values”. Rather, the firm considers them as “core” to its business strategy and has implemented several initiatives to uphold these values, including: 

  • Global Women’s Sponsorship Program: In 2021, the firm launched its Global Women’s Sponsorship Program, which is a twelve-month program that pairs 15 partners who are already leaders in their own right with 15 senior Dentons sponsors and 8 Denton coaches to broaden networks and build relationships.
