What did the interview involve?
I was required to answer six questions, which were all pre-recorded video interview questions. I was given 1 minute 30 seconds to prepare and 1 minutes 30 seconds – 2 minutes to record my response depending on the question. I could re-record answers once if needed. I was asked:
- Why do you want to join the National Highways Legal Graduate Scheme?
- Describe a situation where you had to work collaboratively as part of a team to overcome a challenge.
- Can you give an example of a time you had to prioritise multiple tasks under tight deadlines? How did you manage your workload and what was the result?
- How do you plan to balance the work demands of this role alongside studying for the SQE qualification?
- Can you give an example of a time when you received constructive feedback? How dd you respond, and what did you learn from it?
- How do you see this role fitting into your long-term career goals?
What was the outcome?
I did not receive an assessment centre invite, so was unsuccessful.
