Capsticks

2025

Why are you applying to the vacation scheme at Capsticks? (200 words)

I am particularly drawn to Capsticks’ reputation as a Healthcare, social care, and housing leader. The firm’s mission to make real change for its community aligns with my values, especially having developed a passion for promoting the rule of law at [UNIVERSITY’s] Legal Advice Centre.

Capsticks’ broad practice areas, from clinical negligence and employment to social housing and corporate law, offer trainees wide exposure, accelerating their career alignment. Capsticks’ Band 1 employment practice in healthcare stands out because, following my stint in the compliance team at [IN-HOUSE INTERNSHIP], I am eager to contribute to complex employment litigation involving whistleblowing and discrimination claims. Similarly, the firm's band 2 social housing prowess on large-scale regeneration and disrepair claims is intriguing because it shows a dedication to the ‘real economy’, which is compelling work.

I value Capsticks’ commitment to investing in its trainees through hands-on experience and tailored training. A focus on innovation and collaboration, evident with its strategic alliance with NHS Employers, promises an intellectually stimulating and supportive environment.
